”My Super Ex-Girlfriend” was a comedy not based on an established title. It wasn’t part of any comic book company. The same with “Ultraviolet” starring Milla Jovovich.

I liked Ultraviolet, and the Resident Evil movies, and The Fifth Element . . . ah heck, I just plain like Milla Jovovich . . . :woohoo:

The same for Kate Beckinsale and Rhona Mitra and Gemma Arterton . . . 😉 B)

Avengers and Winter Soldier were both pretty good (not great though). Last 2 X-Men movies — First Class and Days of Future
Past — were also pretty good.
Where Marvel seriously lags behind DC is animated features — both direct to video movies and TV series. The only good one Marvel has done to this point is Avengers: EMH. Marvel really doesn’t seem to care about the animated market, focusing almost exclusively on their live action stuff.

I rented “Assault on Arkham” and thought they better not sell this to kids. Most of DC’s 52 style animation is too obtuse and serious for my tastes. The animated “Dark Knight Returns” was a wake up call on how much B.S. has been created into the Batman mythos. It’s cynical, narrow-minded, and anti-social.

If DC wishes to pursue that route then the Superfriends are gone. Let their films be distinguished by sacrifice and betrayal instead.

With the upcoming Captain Marvel film there is so much potential to have a heroine that has powers and can be great. I’m not giving up on that until we see a trailer.
