Well Holiday, I think the only reason Cat is a teenager, is that ther created her a teenager. I've read most of the series run, and she never really had the teenager face. she always looked more of a mid 20's chic, at least to me.
If you want to make a good comparison, I would sujest that you make Cat like Tre sujested. Cat would look more lean and WW more ripped. If you want to picture the difference, make catlin look like she has 22 or 23, and WW look like she is 37 or 36. Jen, should llok a lot like WW facial like, but she should be the biggest of the three ( built and height ).
On a side note, Comparing characters from different companies is kind of hard, because Superman is as strogn as the hulk (I don't think so ) but sups is about 200 pounds and the hulk is arroun 400 (not too pissed off). So, comparing characters whose stats are incridebly different, but have the same or a very similar power level is kind pf hard.
My final sugestion for you, draw them, the way you feel they should be drawn. If you feel they sghould look like that, then they will look like that.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks, Fasola. I'll try it out that way.  🙂 I'm thinking of capturing the fresh face look for Caitlin. J. Scott Campbell's faces have that waifish, 'chipmunk' look that's became trendy with – I think – scrawny models.

On your side note, my Superman sketch is actually very top heavy next to the Marvel heroes. Not too Liefield, but inspired by the JLU cartoon approach. I drew Capt. America a bit smaller but more balanced, and my Cyclops version is much leaner and more average.

First, I hope I could see that cap, sups, cycls image.

Second, I think you got the characters right, but it leads to one of the things I hate the most about DC. I've tried to understand why 2 aliens from different planets, a speedster, an avenging knight,an intergalactic policeman, and a guy who loves fishes, have the same built. For me that's just ridiculous. It's impossible for all of them to have the same body.

Oh man that's what I've always hated.

For me I have always imagined it to be this way:

If a hero focuses on strength whether male or female, that character should have muscles.

That's scrawny B*** super girl should not be lifting a tank without an inkling of muscle mass!

If a character focuses on using magic or energy blasts from a distance without strength, that character should be scrawnier!

It's so simple, yet they insist on using the same freaking bodies on almost every character!  It's so annoying.

I'll later be drawing size comparisons of various superheroines. I've almost finished drawing the male heroes, i.e. Superman and Capt. America.

But I wonder how I should approach cross comic comparisons. I've noticed many draw Caitlin Fairchild next to She-Hulk, or Power Girl. My work will feature three heroines on one page so I want to make each as different as possible, but fit. For example I want She-Hulk, next to Caitlin, next to Wonder Woman. I want She-Hulk to look the strongest, but is it fair to draw Fairchild with more muscles than Wonder Woman?

I really think you'd benefit from having Spider-man instead of Cyclops. It'd show the leanness of Spidey(Who's built his muscle through acrobatic style exercises, and thus has leaner longer muscles, not bulky ones).

As for the girls, She-Hulk should be the tallest and buffest, as Wonder Womans power is magically endowed and Caitlin, while strong, is already drawn as lean so there's no real "evening out".

She's stronger than her cousin, so it'd be rather hard to build muscle at that strength 😛

As for the blaster comment? That makes no senses. Why wouldn't guys like Human Torch and Cyclops work out so they're not completely screwed? Well, Cyclops DOES anyway. He's one of the top martial artists in the world.

The blaster comment is mainly because, if a person blasts then their specialty is to blast the crap out of things.  By allowing them to do so many things it takes away the uniqueness of a character.  Not everyone is created equally and not everyone should be equally muscular because that's just not something that happens.

It's so boring seeing that -everyone- has a muscular physique or the classic large breasts stick figure body.  There is nothing interesting there, there's nothing that makes them stand out.  Blasters can have muscles like Captain America and also know martial arts, then what's the point of their blasting?  Instead the blasting becomes secondary and their hand to hand become primary so it's essentially Captain America with Cyclop's powers.

That to me is just dumb and it's a good reason why I don't waste my money on comic books.

Unfutunately its not so. In a comic about 5 or 6 months ago superman did a super feat of some sort rather easily that supergirl couldn't do at all and then proceided to tell her that she just seemed more powerful than him before because she had less control of her strength than him and that he knew how to interact with the frail world around him without destroying it where as she did not.

I think that it was just another lame excuse for DC to get the token hero back on top so all the superman fans would stop whimpering about a girl being more powerful than him. Leave to DC to say "NOPE, IT NEVER HAPPENED" yet again!  >:(

I've already moved on to the women. But if I do draw Spidey, I'd be drawing him next to the likes of Nightcrawler, Nightwing, and Daredevil. I'm comparing characters who share common traits i.e. alleged  physical perfection, acrobatics, or leadership roles. I drew Cyclops as leaner because he doesn't move as much as Captain America. I agree with 00tree's argument to a point. My Wolverine has more muscles than Cykes.

Going back to the girls. I've been inspired to use Katherine Heigl's face as a reference for Fairchild's looks. Her or Drew Barrymore. If I get time to draw all the Gen13 girls, I'd probably use a younger Brittany Murphy.
