Now that's a question I hadn't considered: does that mean I have to make it canon in the "Tetsuko" series?

Not unless you want to, sir- but events in this story have lasting repercussions on future events that I have planned for Sylph.  Mind you, If you wanted the events in this story to be canon for the Tet-verse, I would be immensely flattered. 😀
