FWIW, I think that female competitve bodybuilding has outlived its usefulness. Now that a generation of women have discovered weights as an alternative to endless cardio on social media and have rejected the notion of muscularity as unfeminine, I think the extreme steroid/GH FBBers of the late ’90s and ’00sare becoming ever more of an anachronism – what was unfeminine was the square jawlines, ultra-deep voices and prominent brow ridges rather than the muscles themselves.
