In Terri Moore's comic strip STRANGERS IN PARADISE, there are two musclewomen, twin sisters named Tambi and Bambi, who are the half-sisters of one of the strip's protagonists, Katrina choovanski.
SIP has to be one of my favorite comics. The characters have true depth and the stories have been fantastically involving. Sadly the book is soon to come to an end.
Here's a cover for a fantasy issue where it was imagined as an episode of 'Xena' with Tambi as the Calisto character.

Tambi was the head enforcer for Darcy Parker whose Parker girls were used to influence people in power. If you haven't tried it start with the earlier collections because there is a definite timeline.
