KeymasterI did do it in vain. The migration failed and I had to revert back to this.

Ah well, you win some, you lose some. It's a lot better like this than many forums. 😉

ParticipantWell, once you do get a more permanent theme, could you implement something that can use more horizontal resolution? Right now I run at 1600×1200, and only half of the screen is used.

Well, when I've gone wider people have complained. We still have about 10% or 12% of our readership using 800px wide monitors, and then there's the onset of the device browsers like the iPhone and the Asus EEE. So I'm kinda stuck here.
I did make the forum wider than the rest of the site, for what it's worth.
Maybe I can look at a RSS feed solution?

Lingster – don't worry. The standard size will suit the majority – that's all you can do.

Wouldn't it be possible to have a non-fixed width theme? I'm not sure if they exist for this type of forum (I am not familiar with all of the types of forum software), but if they do exist, one should work fairly well, rather than having a single vertical table of fixed width.

KeymasterThis is now the permanent theme. I have set a fluid width for those who complained about it being too narrow.
