Participantstmercy2020 just scored a bullseye there. Except for Black Lotus from EA Games' Command & Conquer Generals (and she's copyrighted, so she's out), none of my muscle ladies have any representation by picture.
Well… I wrote about Kitty-kins in my story The Stray. She's based on Dr. Otto's Bad Kitty from his picture Cats and Dogs… but that's HIS picture. Not mine. -_-;;;
Fun fact: Black Lotus is also the name of a card from the game "Magic the Gathering". o_o

ParticipantOh, and to help clear up what was meant by "old school text adventures," here's a little article about it: http://www.reference.com/search?q=interactive%20fiction
How many of my fellow geezers remember when this was hot to trot on the computing scene? No sound, no pictures, just plot, story, and adventure!

ParticipantI think I still have a copy of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy game, although I no longer have a computer that can run it!

ParticipantYou don't really need it. If you want to play THGttG again, just have Java, and go here:

Do you have the "feelies" that go with the original floppy-disk game? Y'know, the brochure, the peril-sensitive shades, the "DON'T PANIC!" button, and the destruction notices?
My next-door neighbor had this game… I swiped his no tea.
(I'll get this thread back on topic with female video game fighters next time… promise!)

Thank you sir! *salute*
It's funny, a while ago, I downloaded a widget application (mac user here :P) called "advent", which was more or less the first real text adventure game. Being the young whipper-snapper I am, I'm amazed how far adventure games have progressed through the ages. 🙂
As for the roster, here's where we stand:
