Never one to let not being able to draw stop me, I had a go at turning one of DCM's pictures into an animation.
Click on the image to get a larger (1.9MB) animated GIF.
The full-size version is a 2.2MB XviD AVI file or a 7.7MB animated GIF at 724×536, if anyone has any good hosting suggestions I'll upload them if you like.

October 19, 2007 at 10:40 am #62237ttf-junParticipantGreat, thanks 🙂
Here's the AVI: iv-tko02_pg01_bottom-fmg.avi (2.2MB)
And the GIF: iv-tko02_pg01_bottom-fmg-large.gif (7.7MB)The GIF is a pretty big file and is much grainier than the AVI, so go for the AVI if you have the XviD codec.

there are not ever too much fmg video in the world ;DOctober 19, 2007 at 6:24 pm #62239David C. MatthewsParticipantI really hate to be the wet blanket here, but I'm not happy with this.
I might have been able to let this go had this started from an unaltered version of my original drawing, but the distortion of her triceps in the beginning frame makes it look as though I don't know how to draw her arms. And this concerns me, because it is my art being presented here. (I'll be the first to admit I still have a lot to learn about anatomy.)
I'll say this much positive about it: triceps aside, this is a good job; you've portrayed her ever-growing amazement very well.
This is probably as good a place as any to make a blanket request, to everyone reading this:
In the future, please do not post or display altered versions of my artwork.
I certainly understand the impulse, and I appreciate the affection for my work and my characters that motivates work like this, and the effort that went into it, but I can't allow my work to be misrepresented (by being altered) like this.
I can't prevent you from doing things like this for your own private enjoyment, but I can ask that you not post or otherwise display them. (I had a similar situation over at deviantART, where a member over there had morphed the same drawing this video stared with, the result being that Tetsuko had been given a grotesquely narrow waist. I had to tell him, sorry, but I wasn't happy with the result, and that he wasn't to post it.)
Fan art is all right, as long as it's your original work. (If you want to redo this animation with an original drawing, even if it's a tracing of my drawing, go ahead.)
If nothing else, you've motiviated me to start on my own Tetsuko FMG video sooner rather than later. ;D
Once again, I do appreciate the good intentions behind this video.
October 19, 2007 at 9:14 pm #62240ttf-junParticipantYou know, I'm ashamed to say that it didn't cross my mind that my modification would reflect on how your work is perceived, and I apologise unreservedly for the breach of etiquette in not asking the original artist for permission to post a derivative of their work.
I've asked the moderator to remove the links to it, (or you can do so if you can and would like to).
Thanks for your comments and understanding.

Bravo, David and ttf-jun, and ditto!
Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery but copy, cut 'n paste is probably not the best way to express it.
Tschuss!
HunterOctober 20, 2007 at 1:46 am #62242RitzParticipantAlright, Dave said what he wanted, so don't tear this guy apart.
It's a nice animation, Obvious it's just a bit of picture morphing, but it's a fun flex. Nice JobOctober 20, 2007 at 3:32 am #62243JackParticipantttf-jun – Dave makes a fair point, but I also thought it was a cute animation and I hope this hasn't put you off using your animation/morphing talents in the future on your own stuff. Thanks for the effort you put into this – it was a lovely thought.
