I bought this book today. The two are never a disappointment in the strong women they paint. It has one painting with Debbie Kruck as a model. Digital or not their skill and composition is very rich.

    Wow!

These are fabulous, indeed. On amazons.com the price varies from 25$ to 16$. I can't wait to put my hands on one of these :]

Give me Frazetta any day. He might not use fbb and figure gals as models but his work blows the duo after vaporizing them.

I didn't buy this book so I can see Frazetta's aggressive, dynamic work. I wanted a book with strong women in it.

Another you might want to check out, Holiday, would be his previous book Bodies: Boris Vallejo, His Photographic Work.

And if you can find it, since its now out of print by WPW, would be The Female Physique Athlete by Al Thomas and Steve Wennerstrom.  Its a History of FBBing up through 1983 – includes a great deal of materal on the subject.

I've come across Senor Vallejo's name a few times, but I know little of him or his work.  Could someone direct me to some sites where I might find out more, please?

Thanks, Alex. I'll check it out. I also like the different women by Chris Achilleos. They aren't athletic, but he does explore different costumes.
