Let me add a kudo, Fonkster. I always appreciate FMG stories that 1) show some imagination 2) show some whimsy 3) show that the writer is paying attention to the tale and 4) have a tale to tell, as compared a few sweaty-palmed paragraphs sandwiched around the growth description.

That's a brilliant story – some twists and turns in the plot, very readable and satisfying.  (and two sets of growth too!  That was nice!).  Thanks for sharing this with us, man!
