As much as I enjoyed this story, I'd just like to make one suggestion: mentioning that she's Korean every other sentence really doesn't add anything. In fact, if anything else, it'd distracting – I'd rather get descriptions of what the muscle looks like, rather than the fact that she's Korean. I mean, does "Korean muscle" really look different from, say, "Swedish muscle"? (just to pick a random example.

The way "The Monster's Emrbace"  was constructed was piecemeal in different files, almost paragraph by paragraph, over an extended period. It was interspersed by my working on other characters of different ethnicities, in other situations. I suppose I kept reminding myself of the ethnic characters by their defining nationality and when I intergrated all the parts together, the adjective has obviously became quite repetitive.

I'll keep an eye on that for the ensuing The Monster scenes…
