yeah once again proving that even the olypmics are not above criticism. it seems like any girl with noticeable muscle is considered ugly. thats why i don’t both to read stuff like this. heck i just glanced at it and didn’t read the whole thing and i can get the gist of it.
Here’s a helpful hint to the Turkish writer in question. If you are offended by the fabulous female Olympic athletes on your tv screen, change the channel.
Just don’t bitch to me about it, because you’ll get no sympathy! 😉
1) There is no such thing as unbias news reporting.
2) Always (see 1 above) concider the source and keep that in mind.
“I like a good story well told. That is the reason I am sometimes forced to tell them myself.”
~ Mark Twain / Samuel Clemens (1907)
So some bloke said something offensive about someone’s appearance and that’s news. Great.
With a bit of luck, this guy isn’t representative of his country, because Turkey was at one point trying to join the EU. Given that it’s a predominantly Islamic nation with relatively recent problems in terms of democratic behaviour, it needs to demonstrate that it has attained a certain standard before other nations regard it as being ready for membership. Regressive codswallop like this won’t help.
I get fed up when the female athletes get criticized by stupid people.
Yuo know what really bothers me, is that what this guy is writing I consider it sexist and maybe even racist. You can’t just go arround saying that women should get more points for having bigger boobs or a more hourglass figure, that’s ridiculous.
He actually pissed me off with that article.
I wish some of those women would gain even more muscles. I do find some really big women like those heavy weight lifters turns me off, but that just me. example : http://www.foxcrawl.com/2012/08/05/lulu-zhou-sets-world-record-wins-olympic-gold-in-women-heavyweight-weightlifting/
Also some culture are really sexist and biased by our standard. I really don’t know what to think. I want to respect them but I disagree with them.
Maybe he can watch Lingerie bowl. But even then he might think some of them look too muscular.
I don’t know, Zoe Smith seems pretty girly to me:
As far as being “chestless,” you be the judge:
Personally, I’d be a lot nicer to someone who can lift over 260 pounds; she might drop it on you.
