    (This would've made a great 600th post, but I let it sneak by. Oh well…)

    Got a visit at my job today from Amaz0ns member Zespara (who PM'd me a couple fo weeks ago to let me know he was coming.) (This makes my current scorecard for meeting forum members Zespara 3 times, Coyote 1, Lingster 1.) (Like that matters to anyone else…)

    Anyway, he brought a gift: a Xerox of a commissioned drawing I'd done for him in 1998. He'd tried to get a scan of it, but couldn't get the scanner to work for some reason. But the good part is, I now have a copy of the drawing for my own archives, and I get to share it with you all!

    It's a two-panel retelling of the origin of the Marvel Comics character "Thor", only with a female lead. So I guess instead of Donald Blake, it's …umm …Donna Blake? Anyway, she finds this hammer in this cave…

    I had to clean up the scan a bit, and I replaced the lettering; mostly because some of the lettering on the upper left side of the pic had been cut off by the copier. But mostly I left it alone… I wanted to fix that left hand, but that would have changed the drawing too much.

    Nice. Alex Ross illustrated a female Thor as well for the "Earth X" saga.

    There was also an image comic named "Sharky" that featured a female "Thor Stormhausen".

    your works somehow seem to be an inspiration to weathered comic book artists. congratulations!

    Wooow, now THAT's what I call a GREAT comission! 😀 I have always been a huge fan of a female Thor ever since she appeared in the 'What If…' special as well as Thor Girl appearing in the latest Thor issues. 🙂 I think the fact a female uses a magical device/word to transform into a superheroine form is verrry cool, and you just dropped my jaw with this little number. :O Thanks so much DC for sharing this pic, you've made my weekend, that's for sure. 😀
