Ahhhhh. If only… If only…

You guys haven't been following Marvel's "Civil War", have you?  Current events:

1. Thor is currently missing or dead.
2. Thor's hammer (Mjolnir) has returned to Earth from space, where Thor previously threw it.
3. The U.S. Army has set up a camp at the impact site to study the hammer.
4. Dr. Doom and a squadron of Doombots raided the camp.
5. The Fantastic Four arrived on site to provide assistance to the Army.
6. Doom announced that he intends to make the hammer his own.

There are rumors that the Invisible Woman, Sue Storm, will die during Civil War, and no shipped previews that I've seen include her.  Things we know:

1. Dr. Doom is not "worthy" of the hammer and so, as per the inscription, will not be able to lift it or acquire the power of Thor.
2. Of all the characters in the Fantastic Four, Sue Storm is the most likely to be sufficiently pure of heart and stout of character to be able to lift the hammer.
3. If the previous incarnation of Thor is dead, whoever lifts the hammer will be transformed into a reincarnation of Thor.

Therefore I suspect that Sue Storm will become Thora, Goddess of Thunder.  The only open question is to what extent her physique will be transformed. 

Do I get a "no-prize"?

No, I didn't know Cilvil War was going to go down this path. :PO Gosh, I hope Sue becomes Thora, its time she became a goddess and taught the boys how a REAL superheroine handles matters. >;)

Though I's would recommend actually going and reading some of the original Norse & Viking Myths. For they have very powerful women amongst them -especially the Goddess and (Good) Giantesses whom do bare some of the Gods children (such as the seven Giantess sisters whom are the mother of Heimdall).

I's recommend you to seek an antique booked called Myths of the Norsemen by H. A. Guerber published by George G. Harrap & Co. LTD. (originally in 1908 but has been reprinted many times over the years) for it the best basic resource of its type that I's have seem in many a long year.

Anyway, thank you for posting this.

I think it was a "what if ", Ragagnok Acurred.
Thor Died and Lady Sif went to the Hela's land, to plead for Thor release, shes holing up the hammer over her head wearing Thors magic gloves.
Also We must add  Diana Prince Wonder Woman Because she received the power of Thor when she touch the hammer in the DC/Marvel cross over.

Thanks everyone for keeping this great post alive, people have been posting great info on Thora/Thor Girl/Lady Sif. But, I'm a little surprised to see Ashlee forget the beautiful Thor Girl that appeared in the previous Thor series. 😀 Tareen may have been a teen, but she's definitely one who carried the magical hammer that transformed her into the mighty Thor Girl. Here is a link for anyone who might have overlooked the young woman turned superheroine. 😀 -sooo sad they killed her off like that too…-
