P.S. DC, did you manage to get my e-mail about Velta? -sent it to your e-mail at your FMG superheroines site-
Yes, I got it… check your e-mail, there should be a reply there.
And you should post those links you sent me to this board; I think Velta would be of interest to at least some of the members here.
April 27, 2006 at 4:08 am #27024mercblue22ParticipantHey DC,
Thanks for the reply -I didn't receive it in my e-mail- maybe if you want to reply to the Velta message I left here about a week ago in the comics section, others might reply. -I was very shocked not one person replied to Velta- 😉Fonzie
April 27, 2006 at 5:25 am #27025LingsterKeymasterSue Storm didn't try to lift the hammer.
April 27, 2006 at 5:41 am #27026flashHEART.EXEParticipantTsk Tsk, everybody is overlooking the OTHER Storm that lifted the hammer…
And I KNOW there was an issue in the 70/80's where Storm became the Goddess of Thunder as well.
April 27, 2006 at 5:56 am #27027mercblue22ParticipantHoly Cow! @-@
Thanks sooo much flash for posting that great image of Storm as Thor Girl! :O I had no clue she gained access to the hammer, it just proves a female looks muuuhc better carrying that magical hammer and dawning the goddess garb! 😉Thanks again!

April 27, 2006 at 6:10 am #27028AshleeParticipantWOW , I did not know Storm Held the Hammer!
You know one of my Fave comic was Thunder strike!
and Wished they showed BLOOD AXE, in all her Muscley Glory!
But they always hid her in the shadows.April 27, 2006 at 9:16 am #27029mercblue22ParticipantOooh,
I totally agree Ashlee, I really, really liked Bloodaze and the fact a woman touched an axe that changed her into a large vigilante. -Too bad she became a man in this form, yuck!- 😀But still, a very cool concept nevertheless!

April 27, 2006 at 6:12 pm #27030Zespara AlatharParticipantWell, actually Storm never wielded Mjolnir at all. It was a different hammer that Loki managed to convince the dwarf who created Thor's hammer to forge. Loki wanted Storm for his own I believe and she became a faux Thor-type as a goddess of thunder. 🙂
It was in an X-Men annual more than a few years ago and it might have been part of a continuing adventure between several Marvel annuals that year.
I did love Bloodaxe from the Thunderstrike book (and Thor also). She did become huge and muscular but they covered her up with the bulky clothing that she wore. I'm pretty sure that she wasn't a man under the clothes (unlike Mighty Man from Savage Dragon who is really a female nurse ;p). The clothing prevented anyone from determining that she was a female. I did predict that Bloodaxe was Jackie Lukas from the clues that were left and the clothing kept most from guessing her identity.
Btw, a fiction writer from http://www.fanfiction.net has written an Avengers story with Jackie Lukas as a female Thunderstike. It's not bad although I wish that he would've made her more muscular in his descriptions. 😐

In this alternate Marvel reality, Jane Foster found the walking stick (disguised uru hammer) that transformed her into the mighty Lady Thor! The stories are written in a Marvel style that is very enjoyable. He's made her tall, muscular and powerful although he doesn't always describe it as thoroughly as some might like. 🙂
He's written five stories thus far and is writing more as we type. Look for it under the comics/Marvel section of http://www.fanfiction.net.

April 28, 2006 at 5:03 am #27032mercblue22ParticipantHey Zespera,
Wow, thanks for all the great Thor Girl info! 😀 I'll have to read those stories on my day off this weekend, as I'm a HUGE fan of females using magical artifacts or words to transform into superheroines! As for Mighty Man, geeze, that really sucks that a woman who has the magic bracelets, slams them together to become a super strong man. 🙁 The concept is very awesome, but why not a woman, ya know? It just makes me want to make my own Mighty Woman in City of Heroes. -in fact, I'm going to do that…energy melee and Invulnerabilty, here I come!- 😉
