I remember Thurman Munson's death so clearly – when I was nine years old the demise of the Yankees' catcher (and captain) was a hell of a jolt. I still have a couple of his baseball cards somewhere; they were cherished by the nine-year-old me. His widow has finally decided to auction off his possessions, and I'd be lying if I said my eyes didn't tear up reading the article:

Doesn't $5,000-$7,500 seem like an exceedingly low estimate for Munson's mitt that's autographed by Mantle, Martin, DiMaggio, Ford, etc.?
smitty
Yes.
