An interesting list… some of these actually fall under the "goodbye and good riddance!" category (mumps and measles, pit toilets AKA "outhouses"); and I imagine that quite a few of the listed things (cameras that use film, VCRs) are disappearing from the world, not just from America.

A touch esoteric, but I vote for wigwag railroad crossing signals (and I'm not even American ::)).

The thing I really miss is the good old fashioned hand-written postal letter. 🙁

Makes me want to go to the post office and write one.  Anybody got an address?

Oh, forgive the double post, but I'd discovered this link after activating my Cheatware and surfing to AOL's site:

The Top 25 Things We Wish Would Come Back.
I particularly miss telephone booths, myself.

    America moves fast.

Mostly a good thing, but there are several In-Store Lunch Counters I miss.
Trains need to make a comeback.

I miss getting a real toy in Cracker Jacks, I'm sick of those stupid little tattoos.

Life's but a walking shadow.  A poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more.
