ParticipantWell, what can I say. First, it took me a while to get used to lenil yu's style (yes all those years ago). Now I can say that he draw her decent enough. I agree with Holiday, man this story is way to slow, specialy if it was promoted like the fight of all times, now bulls**t, just puch after puch of pure action, but if there are 5 panels of fighting in all the 4 issues combined, we are lucky.
Also, there are a lot of things that I can't fully understand, like when those this story take place actually, because I feel like when it first came out it was during the Ultimates 2 story arc, but now I don't know, and correct me if I'm wrong but Betty appears in those issues. All in all, I'm pleased enough that she wasn't drawn like a contestant in the "Arnold Bikini Class" and the transformation scene reminded me of the hulk animated cartoon when Jen gets her powers. But like most comics today (exept the ones I trully follow) it doesn't really thrill me at all.
And BTW, for me, there is only one She Hulk, and that is Jennifer Walters.

ParticipantI picked up her debut issues and have to say that I was pretty suprised with the twist they made for her character. Fans of female transformation pics will really love this issue.

ParticipantOne preview pic. That's all I'm asking for. I don't have a comic shop anywhere near me. Please. I only have Borders and they don't carry the Ultimate line.

ParticipantI started picking up the Ultimate Hulk Vs. Wolverine way back when it was first solicited. I was slow to start and then decided to wait until the She-Hulk was slotted to be introduced. Then it stopped coming out. It got delayed rescheduled over and over. I put my question to Joe Q. in his Cup O' Joe column regularly and got only dismissive replies. I was ready to shred the first two issues and then send them back.
Then they announced that it was back in the schedule again. Well I finally read the first 4 issues and wow. A really cool book. It's had some impressive imagery and some good writing but I do have one complaint. Do we really have to watch every scene from each character's view? As much as I like it it seems to be drawing out a 4 issue series to 6.
That said there's that memorable image of Hulk ripping Wolverine in two and 'Plan B's surprising identity.April 20, 2009 at 9:36 pm #80309Prophet Tenebrae
ParticipantI was vexed by the constant need to rehash, the regular flashbacks for no real reason and a great deal of talking and not much action… then I just went "Oh, yeah – this guy writes Lost."
What cracks me up is the solicits for each issue KEEP going on about this EPIC SLUGFEST and yes, comics are generally the worst offenders for massive hyperbole but with this title, it just makes me laugh.

Keep in mind the current EiC of Marvel pretty much hates the fans.
Or at least his attitude makes it seem that way.
(Of course DiDio is no better, since he just hates the characters)

ParticipantJoe Q is pretty keen to do what he wants, logic and fans be damned.
As to #5 of UWvH – all of two panels of Ultimate She-Hulk and more of the tedious talky stuff and meandering nothing happens stuff you'd expect from a writer of Lost. Barely worth the effort of reading.
Did someone tell the guy he could just keep writing this until the sales dropped off? Or are Marvel merely trying to be incredibly satirical with the overblown promos which talk about the slugfest of the century… and then the book turns about to be about 25 pages of Wolverine talking to pandas.

ParticipantIt just like every major event is going to change the Marvel universe forever.
What was the deal with Hulk & She-Hulk? Were they fighting or screwing?
