Uneven Floors & Cracked Walls – What’s Going On?

Lately, I’ve noticed that parts of my home feel uneven—like the floors are sloping a little more than usual. I did some research and came across the term house leveling. From what I understand, it’s the process of restoring a home to its original position. Has anyone here gone through this before? How do you know when it’s actually needed, and what should I expect cost-wise?

On top of that, I’m seeing some gaps near door frames and a few new cracks in my ceiling. Could this mean I’m dealing with a more serious foundation repair issue? I’ve never had problems like this before, so I’m trying to figure out if this is just settling or something that requires immediate attention. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

For context, my home is built on a slab—not a pier and beam. So I’m specifically looking into concrete slab foundation repair options. Is that a totally different process from general foundation repair? If you’ve had slab work done, how invasive was it? I’d love to hear about your experiences before I start calling companies for quotes.

    Thanks in advance!
