    I just read over on Ain't It Cool News that Dave Stevens has lost his fight with cancer.

    He was an awesome pinup artist and one of the few to do Betty Page any justice. For me, the biggest loss is no more of one of my favorite pulp heroes, The Rocketeer.

    He was 53.

    This is for you Dave (snapping a sharp salute to the sky)

    Originators of a theme will always stay in our memory…he was a true master. He knew where the muscles went, and he knew how to use line. In the late Nineties, he tried to popularize another pin-up character in the form of seminal fitness competitor/model Marla Duncan, so he saw the beauty in aesthetic muscle.

    Check out the sumptuous shapes in his print, "Three Women".
