Very cool find. The interesting thing is that Athena Annis had bigger muscles than those depicted on his futuristic drawing.

Boris probably worked with her before she supersized herself
into her iconic appearance – i.e. WPW 191

I noticed that she even sported similar hair style (to the artwork)
in the earlier WPW photos, circa 1985.

Athena was huge. And Boris was one of my favorite artist, he did lots of muscle women.

Man I remember seeing these ads back in the 80s and thinking “wow, these girls are huge!”
LOL, by today’s standards of course 30 they are not much bigger than fitness competitors.

On an unrelated note, time for me to change my avatar as I now absolutely HATE the Washington Capitals
(who traded away one of their best prospects this year in exchange for…well…nothing, thus
ruining any chance they had of actually winning a Stanley Cup).

The paintings Boris Vallejo did are from the early 80s&the pics you found are from the early 90s
I own the same WPW magazines as well
So it stands to reason she’d be a lil bigger for everything in the 90s was extreme
