Yes, there was. They managed to get the C off, but then Omnibus (or something along those lines. The Tick's version of Galactacus either way) came along and took a bite out of the moon. So, in subsequent episodes, the moon always had a bite taken out of it and the word "HA" on it. And the moon was always full.
On a side note, that was the only redeeming fact about the Tick videogame: the boss fight with Chairface Chippendale while he is carving his name on the moon. If you take too long he will actually get his whole name on there and you lose.
Guzzah. What were we talking about? Boob growth or something?
February 16, 2006 at 6:39 am #21491Muscle Growth NutParticipantI think he was just making a reference to an episode of the animated "Tick" series wherein the villain, Chairface Chippendale, schemes to have his own name carved on the moon. (He only gets a couple of letters done before he's thwarted, though, and in a nice bit of subtle continuity you can still see those letters on the moon in subsequent episodes.)
Aye, I was. Lord, I loved that show. ๐
(Interesting side note: I had the video game, and it always froze up during the Chairface fight. Luckily I knew the level select cheat.)

Yes maybe excessive but GAWD it would be fun to do…

I'm not carving anything into any satellites, I won't break into
olde English, but you get major, major props for the ending.Your artwork has always been superior, but the ending you
whipped up is priceless.Just want to point out that I recently found my copies of the
Satin Steele books you published some years back.Wonderful, wonderful stuff.

I rarely comment on your work, cos if I did I'd just be saying the same thing, only in different words. ALL your art work, colouring and characters are just bloody trific. But I must say the "what if Sonya………" comic has been a sheer delight. and the way you added the handsome looking fella at the computer at the end was a touch of genius. Impressed?…. Me? YUP
well done and keep' em coming
Best wishes

Fourth wall? What fourth wall? I don't see no stinkin' fourth wall! ๐Mr. Matthews, you just went up about a million cool-points on the cool-o-meter.
February 17, 2006 at 3:42 pm #21498stimpyParticipantAnd now…
of
The Story
(NSFW)
An excellent diversion from the main storyline! I especially liked the epilogue and knocking down the Fourth Wall — nice touch.
And the very end, when Tetsuko turns into the Incredible Tet-Hulk?! ๐ฎ ๐ ๐ฟ
One thing — I don't understand why she was mad… I mean, just because she can't scratch her nose anymore… ๐
It is rather interesting how Tet-Chan has changed over the years. Compared to your "extreme gallery," your current "mainstream" Tetsuko is bigger, more muscular… and somehow more feminine.
Of course, your last picture could be an inspiration for a new gallery… maybe you could call it the "Ludicrous Gallery!" ๐
Thanks again for sharing your creations with us, Dave!
February 17, 2006 at 4:21 pm #21499Matthew LimParticipantSimply stunning DCM. I started this out thinking I would get to see Sonya muscled up, but got an uber-Tetsuko along with it. Dave, you simply know how to spoil us. ๐
