my brain hurts
March 13, 2007 at 10:30 am #25272ChuckParticipantOuch, sorry to hear. Didn't think my idea of a growth scene was that bad. Maybe I should write it out just to give the idea a fair chance, especially with Ritz drawing it ;D lol.

It's hard to imagine and real rippage going on when the girl is already wearing shorts and t-shirts, the point of growth for me is for long sleeved clothes to turn INTO t-shirts and shorts.
It is much harder to do growth rippage with those articles of clothing, even though DCM pretty much did a great job with Tetsuko, I would have preferred long sleeve or pants.
Platform shoes too bulky
A mumu (nuff said)
Pajama night gown, sure they're sexy by themselves but they're pretty boring when it comes to rippage.
Skirts, they are also harder to do a decent rip with, though accompanied with stockings it sometimes works.
Sweaters, they're like sweat shirts or hoodies. Hard to tell when the actually growth happens!
And finally, dresses that show a lot of skin. Defeats the purpose of ripping when there's clothes missing from the get up.
Hey, you'd have to worrry about how much money said woman has. Some clothes don't come cheap. Besides, I was on IM with Masschine and now FMG sequences might be harder to draw because I found out SEAMS DON'T RIP…so how am I supposed to do an FMG sequence? Dress the female up in SPANDEX?
March 14, 2007 at 11:34 pm #25274LuParticipantSeams are the first things to tear when you split something (I've had old clothes that have split) so yes, they do, they split at the seams.
But who cares if it's a drawing? Draw the tears where the hell you please.

That makes the contrast of the transformation all the better just like the smaller and wimpier the female character is at the beginning of the growth process the better. A too-big, hand-me-down T-shirt and too big sweatpants serve the purpose of hiding the initial aspects of the growth as well as allowing for some form-fitting stretch before the eventual splitting and tearing.
Tschuss!

Here's something I'd like to add in the not so hot area, mascot costumes, including food ones (as there is a hush falling over the crowd over something that was gaining momentum), coats…those bulky ones that one wears inthe winter, to me they just cover what one really wants to see, the actually clothes underneath tearing.
And yes, seams are harder to tear today then before, but in my mind, they will always rip like tissue when growth occurs, and if not, some one will just have to grow bigger.
Chuck taylers seem more popular in growth art and stories now, so to optimize them for the best rippage I say wear them with socks, and under the socks, tights or fishnets, because the more that tears, usually the better. After all, why just ruin the shoes, when you can ruin shoes, socks, tights, hose, and anything else.

`Thank you for this great list.

Also loose skirts hate wearing them, in fantasy or reality, jewerly ouch.

Really?
Do tell. In graphic detail. Include pictures, charts, diagrams and a detailed description of the shoes you were wearing.
🙂

I mean I will if needed, but that may be a bit much.

Loose skirts? But if they start off loose there is the joy of feeling them become tighter. Though any skirt style could work.
Heels? What about the fun of when they burst or break and yet you are still just as tall, if not taller.
But that's just me though, and since I've never worn a skirt or heels, can't really say if my input counts for too much, but I'll continue to use skirts and heels in my stories. They're just such fun to describe.
