    I changed mine (again…  ::)) as I often do. I haven't quite found one to stick with and yet some people do.

    I guess avatars can say a lot about people, so what's yours, why have you chosen it, and does it have a meaning, do you change it often or keep it the same and why?
    I'm not posting this just as a joke, I'm serious, I wanna know!

    I suppose I should say something about my most recent one. It's a drawing I did of Till, one of my favourite people for many reasons- and not just because I think the music he makes with the band is awesome- but I'll start sounding way too romantic if I go into too much detail. He just has a lot of passion, and sings from a different place than a lot of vocalists these days. The large version: http://i7.tinypic.com/627ocug.png

    I am really going to be interested in this thread.  I really like the topic.  Mine is a little dual purpose in the fact that I wanted to have a piece of my own artwork as my avatar and I like the mix between brawn and beauty with as much femininity as possible.

    I picked this one out of the stock avatars available when I first discovered them.  The pen means, well, I'm a writer.

    The written cross was just there, but serendipitously shows my faith.

    And the reason I've stuck with it since I've been here?  Because it fits.  It's something you can depend on.  It's just me.

    …That, and I couldn't get any artists to draw any of my characters, and I can't do it myself.

    I usually end up picking an avatar and sticking with it, I've had this one since I first joined the boards and other boards I belong to all end up the same way.

    This avatar was one of the first pieces of art I ever scanned, pretty close to ten years ago and was part of a sketchy/anime style self portrait of myself that used to be on my old web site, "The Silent Zone."  It just felt appropriate to revive the pic for use as my avatar here when I returned to the internet after a four year absence.  In other words I'm a sucker for nostalgia and I'm lazy  😉
