ParticipantHey all,
I am sure many of you have seen or even contributed to an interactive story that was on Writing.com for awhile just called “Female Muscle Growth.” It had a lot of chapters and some really good submissions but it has disappeared from the site I believe. If anyone has it archived or anything (if that is possible), I would appreciate it greatly if they let me know. Thanks!

ParticipantIt hasn’t disappeared. The site changed the way you search for stories. When you place a keyword in the search field, the default is NOT interactive stories. So you have to change it to include those type of stories.
This happened to me and it took a bit to figure that out. The story is still on the site. 🙂

ParticipantThanks for the replies. I contacted their tech support and the story was either taken down by the originator or deleted entirely from the site it appears. Quite a shame given how long it was.

ParticipantI believe that the member who started the story in the first place not only pulled it down but also “unmade” himself from writing.com. His profile page no longer exists, the name displayed in old emails I had from him changed to something generic and attempting to email generates an error. Normally if a writer decides to take a torch to their works and leave a scene I say, “let them do what the gotta do,” but a collaborative piece is something a little different I think and I admit this was a bit of a sore subject for me when I realized it was gone. I had contributed a significant amount of chapters to it and was not only saddened to see it go but also irritated that apparently none of the writers got a heads up before hand. Lesson learned though, always save my work before posting it to the net. That doesn’t help me with the fact I failed to archive any of my work on this particular story though.

ParticipantYeah I am sure a lot of authors feel the same way. I found it is still possible to access some parts of the story if you use the Internet Wayback machine, but it was only last archived I think in 2011 on there.
