Kinda the opposite end of the spectrum for the "How Big is Too Big?" thread.  How big does a woman have to be before you call her buff or a giantess?

For me, buff starts at about when she has what an above average man has for muscle mass, otherwise, she is just fit.  Giantess starts at about 7'+ with the proportion of a woman that is about 5'.

And, just another little thing to add, busty starts around soccer ball size, or football for all you non-Americans, (I'm lousy with cup sizes, and there is no real set system to those anyways).

I'd say, it starts right when you'd look at her and immediately notice she's got some muscle.  Or perhaps when she looks fairly average, but the least bit of strain adds some of that lovely muscular shape and comes alive.

From there it's anybody's guess.

Guideline for terms which I use:

"Buff" begins for a female when their muscles have obvious definition.  This is as opposed to large women who have, shall we say, well-insulated extremities.

"Muscular" begins for a female when their muscles have obvious definition and are larger than the average male.

"Giantess" is a topic in which I do not have much interest.  To me the term implies that a female has attained a size that is impractically large: i.e., over nine-feet.

"Amazon" is a category that begins at about six-feet and ends before seven-feet.  "Mini-Giantess" fills the gap between "Amazon" and "Giantess".

"Busty" is a relative term.  To my mind the term has more to do with the ratios of the bust to the waist and to the rib cage than it does to actual measurements or cup sizes.  For example a female with a 32-inch waist, a 34-inch rib cage, and a 37-inch bust would not be "busty" whereas a female with a 22-inch waist, a 32-inch rib cage, and a 37-inch bust would be considered to be "busty".  So a female character with a waist that is two-thirds the circumference of her rib cage and a bust that is at least 15% larger than her rib cage would be considered "busty".

"Leggy" is a term for female characters whom have shapely legs (not fat and not too thin) which account for 55 to 60% of their overall height.

When nothing she owns fits, she's a giantess.  ;D

When she gets out of her car, lifts it, and moves it by hand into a parking space rather then parallel park it, she's an amazon of hulking proportions.  😉

For me amazons would be between 6 foot 6 and 8 feet, well toned, buff almost.  Well defined muscle mass all the way around.

Giantess would start around 9 feet, up to the sky as the limit, though I prefer to keep it to the classic 50 foot range and under.

Of course, any woman who is packed with muscle and or towers a few feet over me, I'm not going to argue with, she can call herself whatever she wants to.

I'd add to never argue with Deadly Pixxxie, either, for any reason!

I'll second that Amazon is 6 to 7 feet. For buff, I'd say its when her muscles begin to take on enough mass that they have a legitamate curve to show pronouncement. Busty is as soon as she exceeds DD cups.

Basically, Amazon in terms of height is – as others have said – the gap between an "average" female and a giantess… which, I would say falls fairly neatly in 6'-8' or if you're metrically inclined 1.8m-2.4m.

Once you get past 8'/2.5m it's going to be difficult for even a tall "normal" person to relate to them. Things like sex are going to become major logistical operations… This isn't saying that girls toward the upper end of this scale won't have problems… but they'd still be able to live in a house etc. without huge amounts of difficulty.

Busty is getting going at around DD… or when you require both hands to fully cup breasts.

I think muscle probably breaks down into four categories…

Svelte, toned, buff and muscular.

Svelte is basically a girl in good shape but with no muscle per se.

Toned is a girl who is showing the starts of muscle development.

Buff is when there's obvious muscles, defined abs, notable biceps etc.

Muscular is when even untensed, her muscles are obvious.

Anyway… I think most of us aren't just in the same ballpark, we're all holding hands in the middle.
