On the other hand, countries in parts of Europe and Latin America gave me cheaper clicks and surprisingly better engagement in some cases.

If you’re testing this space, I’d say don’t stick to just one or two countries. Try a mix, track properly, and give each region a bit of time before judging. It’s not always obvious at the start, but patterns do show up if you’re patient.
