Mimi
Participant[font=Times New Roman]I saw an interesting thread on a WW board that they’re close to casting the new WW. 10 to 1 they’ll cast a non-buff babe, but if that’s the case, then my vote would be for Rose Byrne.

ParticipantThat topic has been long debated on this very forum (two plus years I think), check out this thread over in the Fandom and Nerd Stuff section.

ParticipantI know it would never happen in a million years, but my absolute dream casting would be women's pole-vault world champion, Yelena Isinbayeva. Hell, stuff playing Wonder Woman in a movie, she could BE Wonder Woman! Just give her a lasso and a skimpy outfit, and the evil doers of this world wouldn't stand a chance.
As an aside, I thought the Wonder Woman project was put on hold when director Joss Whedon left. I heard he had "How I Met Your Mother"'s Cobie Smulders in mind for the role. Not the worst choice in the world, as long as she was willing to put on a bit of muscle of course.

Not a bad choice. My actual fantasy choice would be Diana Ball. She might not have the height, but think about it – dark-haired, beautiful, a bit exotic, can be outrageously sexy, and properly, heroically built – she's mega-strong. 8)

ParticipantYou do make a lot of sense with that one Mimi. They did that with Superman Returns, and it turned out pretty well. If were blessed with an FBB for the role of WW or at least a fitness girl who can act and is an unknown, Ill be so so happy.

ParticipantAs beautiful as Diana Ball is, I actually wouldn't want to see a bodybuilder in this role. I've seen her drawn in the comic with noticeable muscle tone, but never with bodybuilder proportions. If they wanted to chuck in a few bodybuilder types amongst the other Amazon women, I wouldn't complain though. They also have to consider her personality as much as her physique. She should have a commanding presence, ie someone who you could imagine leading an army into battle. Is "Alpha Female" an expression, as that's what I think of when I think of Wonder Woman. It's actually quite disheartening that there aren't many established actresses that fit the bill. I guess they would have no choice but to chose an unknown like Mimi said.

I see your point. Maybe an Evangeline Lily-type physique would be better.
