    Because DC wants to stick with proven, blockbuster action stars like they did in Daredevil, rather than take risks on a new property.

    Which is kinda sad really. As much as I like batman, I’d want to see more. Who else here agrees?

    Because it would get in the way of yet ANOTHER Batman product, which we all know the
    public can’t get enough of!

    DC: Wonder Woman is “Complicated”

    Marvel: “Hey, look! Anthromorphic squirrel with a big gun!”

    I’ll bet Ben Affleck is having second thoughts about taking the Batman role after he heard all the complaints about him being casted.

    I’m sure when he saw his guaranteed paycheck, he didn’t hesitate.

    I agree whole heartedly there needs to be a WW movie. One of the biggest questions to me is who would be able to play her. WW is supposed to be a 6′ tall amazonian princess sans boots, with the boots you’re looking at 6’4 to 6’6. now she doesn’t have to be 6′ exactly but the actress who plays her needs to be pretty tall. I’ve looked through the above 5’9 inch actresses and there is not a plethora of viable candidates. The best one for me was Stana Katic, She is a nerd, we know she looks Mediterranean because of her heritage, she can do accents, she has luscious voluminous hair and she’s like 5’10 and a half or something like that. So your major issues with her are 1: getting her into the shape one really needs to be in to play wonder woman (stana has kind of a wide waist and would need some muscle in her upper body. not too much in the legs but a little couldn’t hurt) and 2: working around castle.

    That being said who knows what DC’s reasoning is for not making a movie of her. Maybe they think it’ll end up like catwoman (cause god forbid they blame the terrible plot and nonsensical backstory for that movie crashing and burning, no no obviously its because a female lead can’t be a money maker, yeah thats what it is! dumb fucks) or maybe they just don’t know quite how to introduce her in a modern setting. I dunno. but she sure as hell deserves a film, whether she ever gets one we will just have to wait and see.

    All that being said just a quick note about ben as batman, if you will recall there was a huge backlash when they picked keaton back in 88. everyone said there was no way in hell he could be batman but he ended up being nearly everyone’s favorite. I personally am happy bale said no, I wasn’t that big of a fan of him. And to Affleck’s credit. while people like to make fun of him, he really did do a pretty damn good job as daredevil. The big issues with that movie for me were the story was a tad weak, and it was very noticeable how low budget it was. hell, the cg for the rain scene and the fight with kingpin probably took half their disposable income for the project. I think its an underrated movie. That, and it is highly unlikely that anyone will ever be worse than clooney. So at least he has that going for him.

    oh and if anyone suggests Megan Fox should be wonder woman, I suggest that those people should be held down on a hot waffle iron a repeated number of times. Because if you don’t they won’t learn anything about how stupid they are.
    Ta ta for now!
