Why FBBrs never seem to comment much on these boards?

. . . but these FBB’s never seem to comment much on these boards, which to me, is kind of sad.  I wonder why that is?  ???

Ah, you have asked the majic question, Mimi – you would think so, given the friendly social demeanor of Amaz0ns – the one shop femuscle stop.

Free forums with this much action should be a nature attraction for them to get in touch w/ the fanbase, not only of the FBBing kind, but also the fiction-fantasy types as well.

However, that said, after several years observation of the scene, this is the typical environment.  Occasionally, we do get a few passers in-and-out – i.e. Sarah Dunlap, who post for a short while and then are gone with the wind.  Unrealmuscle seems to attract a few that have stayed on – i.e. Melissa Dettwiller.

Probably some of their biggest apprehensions, although not the only ones, to be certain, to making their presence known is that they get:

    1) Deluged publicly and privately from both the serious fans and of the unsavory sort, too.

    2) Inevitably, when they express some opinion (showing that they actually have brains to go with the brawn) it intimates some, aggravates others (ruining their internal fantasy?)  So much so, that in some cases I've seen them flamed off forums by a few nasty and noisy negativists.  (I also suspect that some of these had a bad on-line and/or real world encounter with them, hence the reason for the irrational hostility.)

    3) More then a few, probably many, are put off by the erotic/sexual elements, the physical manipuation of the body (i.e. manips), the physical super exaggeration (BE, FMG, etc) both in artwork and stories – not to mention that they don't want to be associated with individuals like Denise Masino and/or x-rated FBBing aka porn.

I honestly think that, because of the minnow status of FBBing, the ladies aren't helped enough to cope with the attention theyget.  If you think about it, most famous people have advisors, publicists etc. around them.  FBBers are oftenj alone, save perhaps for a webmaster, and they therefore may feel intimidated, particularly by the wierder element (the dreaded schmoes who see the women as sex objects and not human beings).

To a certain degree, I'd agree with you.

It's probably why the greatest number of them, interactively speaking, operate out of DtV – or over at the Muscle Mayhem forums, feeling safer amoungst people like themselves, within closely moderated venue.

BTW – we're getting WAY off topic for this thread, if there's interest in continuing this subject, I'll break off the appropreate portion and start a new thread.

I've probably said all I want to say already, but I think it could definitely become a stand-alone discussion and that might prompt further thoughts and ideas on my part.

Since our Mimi was the first to ask this question, I've chosen to quote her for the thread title.

This thread was originally part of the Nikki Fuller thread.

Thanks for splitting that, Alex darling… the thought did cross my mind as to post that question in an entirely new thread, but wanted to keep my thoughts pertaining to it together.

No problemo, just speak up – that's what ops are for.

If a bodybuilder didn’t know us personally, or had thousands of dollars to pay them, then we were just SOL.

SOL – hmmm, that's either "Sadly Outta Luck" or "Struck Out Looking."  Most likely the former, but the latter acronym fits, too.  So which, if either, is it?  😉

It's s**t out of luck, wouldn't be SOL if it didn't contain some non PC language.  😉
