Wii Hunting

    I went Wii hunting this morning – got up before dawn and hit Target, Circuit City and Best Buy before the doors opened – but came up mostly empty.  (I now have a Wii-mote, but no Wii.)  I'd like to hear some strategies for successful Wii-quisition. 

    Also, I looked over a clerk's shoulder and saw that Circuit City is hoarding Wii's.  They have about 1400 at a warehouse in Pennsylvania.  Bastards.

    The people I know that have Wiis got them by going to a Nintendo store & waiting hours before it opened.

    i got mine at best buy and i lucked out, i came in one night and asked if they had any Wii's in stock and the guy told me that they just got their shipment and they wouldn't be selling them until the next day, so i showed up  early (about 2hrs before they opened) and i was 42nd in line and i still got one. Luckily they get Wii's in such large shipments. Your best bet is to find out when these retailers get their shipments in.

    Crap. All I can think of saying is it's "fucking wii-k." But 'weak' is not a complimentary term and I can't think of one I can use 'wii' in, other than wii-tastic which I have used.

    Nintendo has stores?

    There used to be a Pokemon store in Rock Center in NYC. Now it's a Nintendo store.

    What my girlfriend and I did to get one [which was mostly by sheer luck] was go to a small, non-chain video game store. Thye got 2 in that day, and she got one of them. 🙂

    Here, some little smart guy reserved 2, and with the doubled price on the market after a few days, he must have repaid his own by selling the second one… ;D  or he sold both… 😀
