This is true,..tried watching CBS TV cult classic,GETTING PHYSICAL on Youtube and it was abysmal
Acting is harder than ppl think which is why wrestlers can do it sometimes because they are having to act every wrestling match
Tried to get into acting but faking emotion does not come very easy to all of us

Speaking of CBS and athletes turned actors.. I re-watched the pilot for the old Bill Bixby Incredible Hulk series.. Lou Ferrigno killed it as the Hulk. Ferrigno had some long days in the makeup chair for that role.. and basically had to rely solely on conveying non-verbal emotions. Not many people had the body, or heart, to play that character.
Incidentally, seemed like in that first pilot, they overdid his brow some.. Hulk initially looked a lot more like a Neanderthal than he did as the series went on..

Well, long before Lou Ferrigno there was Peter Lupus in Mission Impossible (1966-73) series, and Steve Reeves starring in a string of successful movies, which inspired Arnold Schwarzenegger to follow the same career path as an action/adventure actor.
