KeymasterHey – Don’t know if you guys saw this but all the Women’s Physique World issues, beginning 1984, are available online for $4.95 a pop. A lot of these issues are fucking gold.

KeymasterAh, that does take back to those thrilling days of yore . . .
Can recall when I bought my very first issue – of all places a liquor store magazine rack.
Was expecting the clerk to raise an eyebrow (or make some sort of snide remark) but just processed the sale without any comment. Later on, got WPW magazine on subscription – came in a plain manila envelope,
And then there were the videos – all on VHS, back in the day,

ParticipantI’d buy them at Genovese drug stores and always tell the cashier they were for my sister and ask if she could return it if is wasnt the right one!

KeymasterAnother that was published back then was “Female Bodybuilding & Sports Fitness Magazine”.
Hadn’t ever heard of it until I came across an issue @ Kroch’s and Brentano’s downtown bookstore in Chicago.
Quality-wise was not quite up the high standards of WPW, but was still worth collecting.

ParticipantThis brings back memories. I used to get these from a local grocery store when I was in high school. Ever so often I would get a cashier that would give me a weird look but I had a prepared answer for them. I would tell them it was for art class we were drawing different types of body types and we were required to bring a variety of references.
I did not risk having them sent to my house, lol.

ParticipantThere was also a sports memorabilia store in Chicago called LL Scots or LL sports that would have a section with these magazines and some of the videos as well. I would go there ever so often

KeymasterAlso, back in the day, long before Netflix, there was an on-line video store based in Tennessee that specialized in mail order rentals of WPW and Ray Martin VHS videos.
