And the process continues! Shannyn Sossamon (Knight's Tale, One Missed Call, various horror films) tried out as well. The writers loved her but the director said 'no'. IMDB states he's 5'8". I don't think she'll be 'growing' much more into the role. It's a loss for those who loves the face of Angelina Jolie (who's now too old to fit WB's criteria), they look somewhat similar.

She's not an actress, so I doubt she's in the running, but boy does she look the part! Oh yeah, she's 6' as well.

Some other interesting, less well known names that I have come across:
    Nina Fehren http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1766320/
    Natalie Glebova http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1944025/
    Amanda Tosch http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1461297/
    Lorena Bernal http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0076085/
    Blythe Metz http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_ZzAJ-C5Ok

These women all have the look, but don't know if they have the commanding presence, which is just as important.

Anyway, it looks like they're getting close the end of the audition process, so we may not have long to wait to either be elated or disappointed.

Oh wow! So that's what a 6 foot tall WW looks like! Yes, that height is proper for the character!

Reason, very good choices.  Too bad if that one girl doesn't act then she's pretty much useless for the movie.  The last one Blythe Metz had some good moments but she doesn't have a very good look for WW nor are her movements are acting ability that solid.

Creating "presence" isn't too difficult with the right camera angles and body movements all which can be trained.  Stature, look, and acting ability though are something that should come inherently with the actress, as trying to add those qualities is extremely difficult.

    Very nice choices though!

    Here's the latest:

Moviehole said that Teresa Palmer (Grudge 2) has gotten the role for Wonder Woman. To see what she looks like try this webpage:

    and here:

Let's wait a bit longer for confirmation. Funny that they chose a blonde. She would have made a great Cassie Sandsmark/Wonder Girl. She's only 5'8". Even her Grudge co-star, Arielle Kebbel, is taller than her. But after the rumor on Hellboy's Evans, I thought maybe they can cast all the actors as below 6 feet tall and use their movie magic. Justice League Jr. is coming along great.

So, after all that, they've picked a short blonde.  WTF?! ???

    Guys for the last time.

Height is not an issue in Hollywood.  There are so many camera tricks to make a person taller that some celebrities look taller than they actually are.  Tom Cruise is a good example of someone who looks damn tall in some movies.

Let's not forget Lord of the Rings, Gandalf in real life was the same size as Bilbo Baggins, yet Bilbo looked like a "hobbit" compared to him, even though they are the same size.

Height is NEVER an issue unless the character looks like she's small.  For instance you would never mistake colette guimond as a tall woman even if she were made to look that way, because her body is very compact and simply looks short.

Where as you can't make someone that's lanky look like she's short because of the length of her arms.

    Also!

Even though she's blonde she has some good facial features for Wonder woman.  A little hair dye and she could possibly pull off the look.

O.K. So if the most of the main cast are below 6 feet, for example a 5 ft. 6 in. for  Superman and a 5 ft 5 in. for Batman, there's nothing to worry once they start wearing the tights.

It just seems like backwards logic.  Why dye her hair and use clever camera angles to make her look tall when you could actually hire someone who is dark-haired and tall?  It seems deliberately peverse to me, that's all.
