With all the characters in Marvel movies ramping up to an Avengers climax, at least I assume that's the case, DC would be insane not to at least introduce the last of the DC trinity.
If they go the route of mythology and stay away from invisble jets- WW did fly on her own at one point- and such, I think it would do very well.
Don't make it too abstract, too dark, or over the top and it'll be a great film. Her story has all the elements already in place.

July 15, 2009 at 7:50 pm #85190roadrunnerParticipantGreen Lantern before Wonder Woman?! >:( That makes no sense. And is getting your powers from a race of little blue men more believable than an invisible plane? I say this as someone who's always thought that it would be way kewl to have Green Lantern's power ring.
PS: Confirmed: Natalie Portman is in Thor! -> http://www.aintitcool.com/node/41681
At first read, I saw "Natalie Portman is Thor!" 🙂 There was a "What If" along those lines – "What if Jane Foster Found the Hammer of Thor?"
Masschine, I emphatically sustain your choice of Carolina Marconi!
Mere celluloid can't contain such heat. And we should be focusing on what muscle babes we want as WW. C'mon, folks, concentrate! 🙂 🙂 🙂

July 20, 2009 at 6:39 pm #85192HolidayParticipantThe Hollywood Reporter has released the latest updates on Warner Bros' DC films. Unfortunately, it appears the Wonder Woman project is on the shelf. They just don't know how to do it.
Go to page 2 of this article:
July 20, 2009 at 9:23 pm #85193ReasonParticipantYeah, Wonder Woman IS on the shelf, which is what the article reflects. However, Mimi's original point was that there may be efforts underway to get it off the shelf. What I didn't like about this article is that it mentioned that the difficulties Warners may be having in translating Wonder Woman to the big screen may reflect the difficulties DC are having in turning out a popular Wonder Woman comic, but didn't try to reconcile that with the fact that the Wonder Woman Animated DVD pulled in $4.5 million, making it a fairly big success. I am heartened by the idea that DC wanted each of their characters to have their own movie under their belt before making a Justice League movie, as that gives one more reason for a Wonder Woman movie to get made. Just imagine if they could give Christian Bale a minor role as Batman in the Wonder Woman movie. Something like that could really help pull in more people.
June 11, 2010 at 6:49 pm #93125FlakBaitKeymasterJennifer Love Hewitt is fighting “hard” to land the coveted role of Wonder Woman on the big screen, confessing she is “obsessed” with playing the TV heroine.
Hollywood stars Megan Fox, Eliza Dushku, Sandra Bullock and Beyonce Knowles have all been tipped to take over the role Lynda Carter made famous in the 1970s for Joss Whedon’s big screen remake.
But Hewitt is pleading with movie studio bosses at Warner Bros. to hire her for the part.
She says, “I’m fighting so hard. I think Warner Bros. is getting ready to make Wonder Woman and I really want to play Wonder Woman. I am obsessed with Wonder Woman.”

No. Just No. I never understood what do people like in her. Bleh…
Gina Carano for WW!
June 11, 2010 at 8:53 pm #93129SpeedyParticipantHewitt!? No no no no no no no!!!
Gina Curano hmm let me think HELL YES!! She is beautiful athletic and tough as nails. I really hate when a hollywood starlet plays a tough girl and it’s so inauthentic. (Any fight scene involving Angelina Jolie)
Gina Curano could do an amazing job as the amazon princess but you know those guys don’t cast talent they cast sex appeal.
Ironman 2, Scarlett Johanson is very attractive but she didn’t have enough lines that going down the hall to Mickey Rourke and learning a little Russian accent was unreasonable. At least for the lines when she was no longer undercover.
BTW they are going with the amazon princess coming to mans world ect ect right? That could make for a great movie. Most people aren’t familiar with that version of Wonder Woman.
June 11, 2010 at 8:57 pm #93130Matthew LimParticipantAnd we all know what happened the last time someone was obsessed about landing a role as a comic book character.
No sound but I think it makes the point.
