My turn again I guess. I must confess I go back to the very beginning of the Marvel Mutant heroes (and no I only buy things to do with She-Hulk, Ben Grimm or “Interesting” Marvel charectors now… And don’t get me started on those stupid zombies. Oh yes boys and girls I go back to 1963, the year Kennedy was shot and the year Doctor Who started it’s 40 year run (and I don’t see no “Whovians” bitching about the new Doctor and he changes everything not just his costume.
In fact let me go back even a little further to 1958 when DC introduced Supergirl in may ( I think it was around my 1st birthday. Now the Girl of Steel is 52 years old has had three (or more) costume changes. 2 or 3 different restarts. NOT ONE NO NOT ONE OF YOU complained about the end of her second run with Peter David writing the storyline and he even said he was trying to save the book and the Direction he went in ALMOST did it That what Stratzynski is trying to do and that is save sales on a book that’s been sinking for a long time. The Marstin estate has jurisdiction over Wonder Woman to yank in out from under DC’s feet if they stop producing the book. Trust me I’d hate to see what could be done by others.
My rant is done I’m getting off my soapbox now. I’m suffering from what should be known as “Unemployment Cabinfever,” so don’t take my rant’s to serious folks 😉

Debra Winger who played Diana’s little sister Drusilla was on David Letterman some time back and she said she was having trouble with Wonder Girl’s costume. she said the problem was being full figured at that time they didn’t put stays (sic) in her costume like they did Lynda Carters. Now This might cause a problem if they make a movie or not.

Ick. Someone who doesn’t watch ‘Fringe’ somehow snuck into the forum.
“Fringe” isn’t in my Philippine cable provider. And that woman still doesn’t look great in that jacket.

Bowties are cool! Though the blue police box has retained its basic look for the entire series (including the strange grinding noise when it flies about).
However, there are always segments of the fandom that quibble and argue about the differences (large and small, good or bad) between whoever is the current/soon-to-be Doctor and previous incarnations, and I have to think that’s also going to be the case when it comes to major comic-book characters and transitions between different writing teams and such.

~ Mark Twain / Samuel Clemens (1907)July 20, 2010 at 8:21 am #94175Paul SchillingParticipantWell Boys and Girls are you ready to stop the ranting on Wonder Woman’s new streetwise look? If not let me point out some more info. Get in your TARDIS’ or what ever you call your way-back machine and find a copy of Teen Titans #23 drawn by Nick Cardy, and notice Donna Troy, Wonder Girl at that time went from the classic Wonder Woman look to a sleeveless bodysuit and boots and not one of us complained.
Now jump ahead to 1999 when Cassie Sandmark took over the mantle in Young Justice #4 and then in the Teen Titan run from 2003 she got rid of the dark wig and googles for a couple of different type of outfits through out the run no one said a word.
I guess what I’m trying to say is this would you rather see Diana in a new costume or like in Miller and Lee’s All Star Batman and Robin the Boy Wonder # 5 going around dissing mans world and telling them things like Out of my way, Sperm bank”
July 31, 2010 at 6:17 am #94419DanParticipantWonder Woman with trousers is just plain wrong.
