M. Dean is just trying to protect the artists' rights and keep the posts here about the work. Not everybody has to be a fan of course, though it would be nice if outwardly hostile comments were kept to one's self.
I did run my posting by Wreck and he said it was cool. He's quite a fan of what this board represents and the hard work that Lingster and the others have done to make it so great.

Then I thank you both for sharing these drawings. I'd not seen them either!

All the more reason for his professed fans to not indulge haters.
I just think it's a cheap shot to say you hate a guy in a topic about the guy's artwork, but I realize that's the purpose these forums serve for some. And I know its best to ignore posts that irk me (if I don't want to instigate self-defensively cruel repartee–nobody likes to be told he's wrong), but I prefer to say it stinks! If one person can rag on a person unnecessarily, then I can suggest that it can be done elsewhere, unnecessarily. It doesn't have to be tolerated, and sometimes silence equals agreement.
AbyssPlanet, I don't understand why you care why the Muffin Man hates the guy, and like Mr. Shhh, I'd rather a topic about Wreck stay positive–which it wouldn't if we encourage Muffin Man to engage in gossip (which is all he would be doing). That's why I called him a comadre, which, as you noted, literally means "godmother." Colloquially, it means a "gossip"…
May 10, 2006 at 10:31 pm #28073LuParticipantGood arts, not seen much of his stuff before.
Alas, one of those things I guess I will never completely comprehend.May 10, 2006 at 11:08 pm #28074AbyssPlanetParticipantAbyssPlanet, I don't understand why you care why the Muffin Man hates the guy, and like Mr. Shhh, I'd rather a topic about Wreck stay positive–which it wouldn't if we encourage Muffin Man to engage in gossip (which is all he would be doing). Well, my post wasn't that clear – Muffin Man's comment was a cheap-shot at Wreck, and my post was a subtle cheap-shot at Muffin Man, who is a bit of a serial troll on these forums. I try to put serial trolls on the spot when possible; I've found that it makes it easier for the moderators to notice them and take appropriate action that way. I assure you, I wasn't siding with Muffin Man on the issue, and in fact your response to him (and me) was essentially the sort of response I was aiming for. 🙂
May 10, 2006 at 11:15 pm #28075LuParticipant*cough* Yeah, since like, this was meant to be about Wreckshop's art, not a discussion of others and/or their negative oppinions of people, although we already knew that..
May 11, 2006 at 1:28 am #28076VincentXParticipantDamn he's talented, glad to him back. Hoo ha!
