ParticipantWhat do you get when One Of Us hits the Powerball jackpot for 35 million dollars? Jonathan Vargas answered that question by creating the wrestling promotion known as Wrestilicious, which from all appearances is all-female, except for the owner, in the persona of “J.V. Rich” and ring announcer “The Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart. Of special note to us are two of the headliners featured in the video on the official site(currently just a front page) http://www.wrestlicious.com First is Gloria, who wears a star-spangled 2-piece outfit with an American flag cape and flexes a nice bicep for the camera. Second is Supernova, whose character is a superheroine in a lucha libre-style mask, her portion of the video includes her flying via the magic of special effects, though I really wish she had a costume with a cut more like Gloria’s, the one she’s wearing in the video doesn’t show much of her figure.
Anyway, Wrestilicious Takedown is scheduled to premiere on March 1, 2010 on MavTV and BiteTV(in Canada) and syndicated on 15 broadcast stations. So, if your cable/satellite system doesn’t carry MavTV or BiteTV, make sure to check your local listings.

ParticipantWhy am I getting a Back To The Future 2 vibe off this?
Hopefully the timeline isn’t repaired and this goes on to produce much amusing media.
35 million can disappear quite quickly but with the cost of production down perhaps “JV Rich” can pull it off. B)

Participantlooks alot like other failed ladies wrestling circuits of the past, especially GLOW. I wish they had more muscle on the roster. I’d watch a circuit like that.

ParticipantHopefully, he kept some of his winnings for himself. It can disappear quick.

ParticipantI wonder how wide his distribution is. He should have invested in a few muscle girl types like Nikki Fuller, Christi “Aysa” Wolfe, some other skilled and willing FBB.
I like the iodea of investing your money in a female wrestling circuit, but this seems to be so similar to past failed circuits. Jimmy Hart has been a part of some of those circuits. Maybe he knows how to go about the business best. He’s worked in the WWE. I’d aim for something a little different this time, but wish them luck.

ParticipantOK, people, tonight’s the night. At 11PM EST tonight on MavTV(In America) and BiteTV(for Canadians, eh?) Wrestlicious Takedown will premiere. I was quite dismayed to find out this morning that although my cable system carries MavTV, I’m not subscribed to it. After coming home from work, I called my cable company and found out that MavTV is part of a premium sports package that costs $5.95. Oy, even if I was willing to pay $5.95 per pay period for a single half-hour show each week, my Dad would never go for it. Fortunately, i don’t have to. Take this, you greedy cable company! BiteTV will be streaming Wrestlicious Takedown live tonight on its website, here’s the address: http://www.bite.ca/wrestling so if your cable company either doesn’t carry MavTV or BiteTV, or the channel is part of a premium package you’re not subscribed to, just follow the link and watch it FREE on your computer

.This is exactly how i feel about the new show on Netflix
There are plenty of girls who they should have approached for this project especially if they are making a comedy
like Nikki”ATHENA”Fuller {which is hard footage to find I might add}
Christi”ASYA”Wolf
OR Madusa & Rena”SABLE”Mero-Lesnar OR Sunny

ParticipantThis appears to be a documentary or series about the original GLOW from the 80’s. There was not much muscle there. It was exactly as they portray here. A few girls with skills and names mixed with characters like you see in the trailer. This show was filmed in Vegas and ran weekly. There was some light muscle. That was about the era that Fbbs were just starting to take off into the mainstream….and then back out of it a decade or so later.
