Participant{rant} It's not "completely unreadable," more like.. pointlessly annoyingly readable. That type of lettering works pretty well for grunts, screams and whatnots, but when the reader has to make an effort to understand the friggin TEXT of a declarative sentence, that is bad comic form there.
If the artist wants to use the hand lettered text, they should just make their own font. Lots of artists have gone that way.{/rant }
Bingo. Having "erratic" text (for lack of a better descriptor) for emotional moments is one thing. Having it for ALL dialogue is quite another.

ParticipantI like the artwork, but the speech bubbles are completely unreadable. And I know unreadable, because I have the worst handwriting of all time, but the handwriting in the comic is pretty damn close.

ParticipantGo buy an anatomy book.
Oh ho ho, now that's constructive! 🙄

ParticipantTourist! Please re-post your "answer to superbuff.com." I tried to download it but I think it's been deleted.
Thanks!

Link to rapidshare worked just fine for me…

ParticipantI love his artwork. I've been a big fan of it for a long time. Glad to see he'll be drawing stuff for 'Hardbody'. 😀

ParticipantCorrect on both counts, Z. My wife Janet took the pictures, with a camera mounted on a tripod. And she was aware of what the pics were for; in fact she thought it was a cool idea to put myself in the story at the end.
And I've said this before, but it bears repeating: I am very blessed to have a wife like Janet, who understands and tolerates my penchant for illustrating, shall we say, "hyperdeveloped" women. I do take very great pains to let her know that she is the first lady of my heart. (Tetsuko and Satin are both jockeying for the #2 spot 😀 )
And I must say that all the responses to this story have not only been flattering and heart-warming, but highly entertaining as well! Thank you, everyone!!
But it does leave me with a problem: what to do for an encore…
Well in that case, hats off to Janet for being a good sport and contributing to the story's great conclusion. 😀

ParticipantAt this point, if anyone has any ideas as to where they'd like to see the story go, now's the time. Think of Jenna as your own personal super-built high school fantasy. What would you love to see her do?
I'll be the first to cast a vote: get bigger! 😀
Also, I'll be the first to put in another request: finish 'Battle of the Sexes', and then come back to 'Hardbody' 😀 If nothing else, it'll give us time to come up with ideas after our minds are completely blown by chapter 4. 😮

ParticipantThis is an interesting tale of revenge, but the story doesn't really tell much about why all these people are trying to mitigate against her success.
I think this paragraph addresses that:
Within 2 weeks the professor joined with lawmakers and teachers to ensure this girl was kept in check. They instituted that to graduate high school you had to pass P/E. This test was determined as being able to run a mile in 8 min, bench press your own weight, and varsity letter in one sport. This law was the greatest barrier to her achieving perfection. She passed the academic portions so easily she should have skipped to PHD in every subject and then some…but she couldn't pass the test.
