Santa certainly has most excellent taste in his Amazonian helpers . . . and that makes for an even merrier Christmas.  ๐Ÿ˜Ž

This issue led into the most disappointing episode of all time. Sharon Ventura goes to the Power Broker and gets super strength but does she get any muscle? Hell no. A further disappointment is later in her history she makes a deal with Dr. Doom and he turns her into the She-Thing. What a waste.

No disagreement there, I also have the issue with Sharon as Ms Marvel 2 taking on the She-Hulk in a tussle, might scan a few panels from it if any are interested.

Just a side bar, but given how they portrayed Sharon in this one (w/ a gorgeous Cindy Phillps-like facial profile) and the way they've thus far revealed Jen in the Ultimates as attractive in her own right, I wouldn't be surprised if they make her into a nasty uglified version of the She-Hulk, too.

They certainly didn't make collectible female action figures like this when I was a younker . . .ย  ๐Ÿ˜Ž

BTW – the Marvel Select figure of She-Hulk is on the buffed up side, too.ย  Perhaps we're seeing a new trend here . . . one can only hope so.ย  ย ๐Ÿ˜€

Is that Titania as in THE Titania? She dyed her hair?

No, this is a different one and she gets killed off in this issue.ย  Marvel's had two or maybe its three differing women with the name Titania.ย  There was a dark-haired one that was part of Squadron Supreme, with a 20-ton pressing power, this one (which might be the same one, but I don't know for certain) that was part of the Grapplers and of course, red-haired Mary "Skeeter" MacPherran who took up the title after her Super Amazonian transformation in the Secret Wars.

And yes, it is a lot of fem muscle, especially if you concider the fact that it was published in 1986 – but then such things were in vogue as a part of accepted popular culture thanks to women like Cory Everson.

I saw the lengthy thread over on the She-Hulk forum, but frankly I've not been at all interested in the "Ultimate Marvel" series – until now.  Guess I'll have to make an exception for this mini-six parter, even if it does have Logan/Wolverine in it as a lead player of the storyline.ย  ย ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Having Jennifer in it more then makes up for that in a nano-second . . .ย  ย ๐Ÿ˜€

That surprises me, since for me personally, collages do absolutely nothing for me.

No problem, to each his own.ย  Personally, I enjoy partaking from a wide range of expressions of the genre, from collages, manips, drawings and comics to that of stories.ย  (Crafting stories being my favorite.)ย  ย ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I think the obvious cut-and-pasteness of most of them blows the illusion.

Of this I would agree with you, but only to the extent of poor-craftsmanship on the part of the collager in his/her selection of the source photographs to be used and how they airbrush them together.ย  I've seen many collages that have incredible illusionariness to them and engender plausibility for the suspension of disbelief on the part of the viewer.ย  These same critiques or the admiration factor can be applied to those individuals that create photo manips/morphs.ย  Some I've seen both that dreadful in construction and others that simply majestic to behold.ย  ย ๐Ÿ˜€

I've always loved drawings more than photographs . . .

This is not uncommon, I think many do enjoy drawings more then photographic expressions of the genre.ย  Something that is especially true with the patrons over at the She-Hulk forum.ย  ย ๐Ÿ™‚

Lastly, as a collager of some modest talent (or so I've been told) but just as a suggestion, if you haven't already, you might want to check out some of these that I've posted here in the past.ย  Possibly, it might change you mind about them, at least on a limited basis.ย  ย ๐Ÿ˜‰

Yes, especially so for those writing stories of quality and length – it requires a great deal of skull sweat on the part of the author to achieve a polished product. ย  ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Now comes the BUT (no butt monkey, Laura ย )

But, after many years of involvement in this genre, I've found that its a common failing, whether it is here – or on any number of other forums I've attended in the past or still attending in the present. ย Such shouldn't come as a surprise, most if not the overwhelming vast majority of the patrons are male and males are visually driven in their interests.

(This wasn't always so, believe it or not, years ago there was a far higher percentage of females involved in the forums, including several that were inclined to post stories / artwork. ย These days, I suspect most of them prefer to lurk in the shadows rather then being paged / messaged ad nauseam for role playing etal.)

The other factor you might want to take into consideration is personal attention spans – which I think has increasingly shortened in the last few years, more so then even five years ago when you could still find novella / novel length stories being posted by individuals such as myself, Silent One, Hi-Standard, Paul Bunyan or Jamie.ย  Pictures (of whatever strip and type) offer instant satisfaction, whereas a story requires patience and time to fully enjoy the flavor of its content.

Lastly, now here's a real twist for you to ponder, JD. ย Over at Giantess.com, there's a thread commenting upon the fact that collages get far more feedback then do drawing or stories, so go figure. ย  ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

Don't know about Stunner, as I already did some of her from #397 posted back in July . . .

    http://www.amaz0ns.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,41/topic,1020.0

. . . but if you want to expand upon it, go ahead.ย  ย ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Two other sources you might want to add to your list of fills would be some of the panels of She-Hulk from –

Marvel Fanfare #48 – the cover alone is impressive, a taut femuscular pose

MTU #107 – **I think** the first time anyone gave her something of a buffed-up appearance

Avengers Forever maxi-series – with the chain welding Thundra as an Avenger

**Sigh** The Immortal One's fav flame-topped Uber-Amazon of the MU – they really need to do a SH/Thundra team up storyline w/ those two . . .  ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Indeed, that is all, as I also have those issues.  Never enough Thundra content . . .  ๐Ÿ˜€

And we thank YOU for your support, Sir Ze Fly!
