AlexGKeymasterThe feature for this Sunday Afternoon Matinee is . . . Genesis II (1973) w/ Alex Cord and Mariette Hartley

After Star Trek TOS, Gene Roddenberry made a number of attempts in the 70s to create other sci-fi series, this being one of them – which had two sequels – Planet Earth (1974) and Strange New World (1975). There was also the Questor Tapes (1974).
Certain elements from these failures found their way into the Star Trek franchise of movies and series – notably Questor being the prototype for Data – and out of Genesis II the name of the character Dylan Hunt was recycled for the Andromeda series.

AlexGKeymasterHappened at Aldi’s – was about four carts back in the check-out line, upfront was tall (about 6′-1″ or 2″) black female bodybuilder. Built solid, and (explicit deleted) gorgeous looking. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that if BTX is looking for someone to be cast as the Sensational version of his character in a movie, he couldn’t ask for a better likeness.

AlexGKeymasterThe Feb 2019 BOMB …….MISS BALA
Because the_collector_2 wish I shut up! let you guess why It Bombed!Hmm where do I start . . . 😉 B)
1) Right off the bat the screenwriters have a major fail w/ the Suspension of Disbelief test.
2) Then, you’ve got B-List quality actors and actresses that most people have never even heard of.
3) Then, in lieu of decent dialogue (see 1 above) you substitute lots of vulgar language, pointless sex and needless sexualization.
4) And where applicable thrown lots and lots of gratuitous (and graphic) violence with plenty of fireball / concussion style explosions that would otherwise wipe out a city in a conventional war.
