Fast paced, lots of fireballs and flashing effects, very nice.  Anybody remember Virtual Fighter (VF3 for PS2)?  In that video game the characters use pure martial arts, each one with dozens of moves drawn from a particular and well-defined fighting style, and no artifical special effects or super powers.  And there are several female characters in it, some quite buff and all pretty to look at.
