ParticipantThanks, you two. I think it could be a good idea…well, if the funding and resources were readily available. :- Who knows…anything's possible.

ParticipantAngela Basset
"Strange Days" (w/ Ralph Fiennes) or "How Stella Got Her Groove Back", are fair examples with showings of her buffed bod.
Also, AlexG…don't forget about the "Tina Turner Story"…when Angela was on that, she was in wonderful, muscular condition. Unfortunately, she too has submitted to Hollywood's "Deflated Muscle" Syndrome. :'( And it's a cryin' shame.

ParticipantI have to agree with St. on this. I'm in the US and both FBB and Womens' Athletics (in a whole) are almost always looked down on. For instance, I hate watching the NBA (because of the "Show-Boating" and the hype). However, I like watching the WNBA, because it's more traditional…more realistic without the whole "Super-Player" thing.
Another thing I've noticed is that National Geographic Channel has a series entitled "Taboo" about different cultures and lifestyles people consider strange or weird. Unfortunately (if I'm not mistaken) there is an episode dealing with Female Bodybuilding). I hope that helps somewhat. The degree of it just that…rare, tabooed thing. "Tabooed"…I don't know if it's a word, but I think I'll try using it more often.
