btxParticipantMine’s the She Hulk. ‘Cause she led me astray down the path to Sin and Perdition.
BTX
btxParticipantHmmm….maybe I will…. though they seem to have muscled her down a bit 🙁

btxParticipantI’d love for it to be in “SuperMarionation!” (Always with an exclamation point), but the detailed miniature work and all would be mad expensive. Remember, it was the deep pockets of Sir Lew Grade that bankrolled Anderson right up to “Space 1999” once that dried up, Anderson could never really recreate the look or style and had to use cheaper methods. CGI may be the only way to go.

This new Quadra Blu will be just as short lived as the original.
That may depend… If he’s trying to sell a comic book to the general public, then yeah, Quadra-Blu will have the same issues facing She-Hulk, Wonder Woman etc. in a male dominated market, that prefers “traditional” looking women. Is this supposed to be a webcomic?…. In which case a smaller but loyal “cult” audience may form. Personally I hope he takes the approach of DCM …. produce stories largely for fun and not expectations of financial support (I’m not suggesting Lyman not try to make money here… but expectations should be kept low in either case…. Dave does Tetsuko more for fun than money)

btxParticipantI’m not particularly concerned about She-Blockbuster’s looks …. When Blockbuster was a guy he was always a poor man’s Hulk anyway. What I don’t like is when they take a long standing attractive muscular amazon and ugly her up. It was during this same run they turned Rampage into a fugly masculine looking snarling brute… forgetting years of characterization and appearance. Now Rampage always looked “extreme” what with the muscles and the ‘Hawk, but she always had a woman’s face, especially when she was introduced by John Byrne. She got ugly for the Justice League Unlimited cartoon and it seems to have carried over to the present. The same thing happens to She Hulk… when she buffs up, sooner or later she gets the big jaw and gnarly face. I think its editorial decisions like this (and maybe decisions by the artists themselves) that a strong woman who looks strong must always look like a man or beast.
