Saw someone complain that they wanted a gritty Supergirl and not a series based on that Black Widow SNL trailer gag

I mean… Man of Steel was a towering, steaming pile of wank so no more gritty Supes please. But also I do agree maybe not quite what I was expecting thematically, maybe a little too romcommy.

But. BUT. There’s some pretty great action. And I’m all for that.

Couple of pics of interest, first of all here’s a different shot of the suit. Colour! Looks more like a superhero! Has she got delts?

I mean she’s not ripped either way, which is not a Supergirl thing anyway. Still, maybe she’s worked out a bit for the role.

Some critics have been making cosplay comments about the outfit. That just shows how much better the cosplayers are getting. 😉

Ahah, while that’s certainly true, she also looks like every model in a standard Silver Age Supergirl fancy dress costume more than anything else. I mean you know, that’s probably not all that bad as it means cosplayers can whip up free advertising for the new show pretty quickly, the character isn’t sexualised at all, and it may draw more attention to the crime solving aspect of the show.

Right that’s her name, so many dumb names get thrown around in this show it’s hard to keep track.

To be honest there’s not much information about many of the G-Reco characters as no one really seems to care so much in the West. I’m still a couple episodes behind so I’ll report back if there’s any more of her.
