I appreciate your concern, and would probably say the same myself, but I was just joking about being fucked up. I’m perfectly comfortable with who I am, and wish more people were.

Hell, maybe that’s part of liking strong women, the image of confidence they give off.

Although I wouldn’t be surprised if it turned out a lot of FBBs had body issues of a different kind. Or something.

I like to explain to people that I’m supporting good role models to women of all ages, role models that don’t care what society as a whole thinks so they get physically fit. Which we can all agree is far and away healthier than being rake thin and weak.

There’s also a confidence and power and liberation, etc, a good state of mind.

Something I am qualified to talk about! Before I do though:

No, it’s terribly written, sexist trash. That’s why they rightfully dislike it.

Anyway, so yes I have read all the terrible books and watched all the bad movies as they are all hilarious for being so awful.

There isn’t a huge amount of female super strength in the films so far, one of the lady vampires quickly snaps a chain on a door at the end of the second movie, and that picture of the big guy carrying around a big log is from a scene in fourth film where another lady vampire is carrying a separate and smaller log. Might be a throat lift in third film but was very brief if it was actually in it.

The next film should have the plain, boring leading lady smash up a giant boulder, after arm wrestling the big guy and winning with ease. If it goes directly with the book that is.

Hope you have been enlightened on this crap. I’m off to try and drink away my memories of the series

But never mind! Last episode was the usual beach episode you get in Anime these days. They have buff lady Valmet in a bikini, looking bigger than in the OP.

I believe that was the episode that leaked early anyway, however it’s back on weekly so new episode for me next weekend.

Young Justice though I’m still not sure about. Tries to be adult and have grown up issues in the DCU sorted out by teenagers, then they hamfistedly slip in some teenage angst and clumsily covered “life lessons”. Plus also Wally is yet again the comic relief, and Miss Martian only has psychic powers and no super strength, and I guess as a Flash fan and a strong woman fan I’d like to see both of those reversed. Although I can see that they need the comic relief character and two characters with super strength might be redundant.
