CaseParticipant
Looks underage to me and if it weren't for the muscles she'd be close to anorexic.
I'm sorry, but I'm more nervous about this picture than enthused.
I have to admit that I am completely puzzled by this comment. Granted, it's hard to tell age from a photograph. I've had that drilled into my head in every RASS class I've ever been forced to attend. But what exactly jumps out at you that makes you immediately think "underage" here?
Further, I can't imagine identifying anyone with such an obvious level of muscular development as anything even remotely resembling anorexia. In my mind, the two concepts are mutually exclusive. To put in the amount of work that it takes to build muscle like that requires fuel, i.e. calories, which are the bane of those with eating disorders. Judging by her attire and the large container of what appears to be either protein (or some other supplement) in the background, I'd say that this is probably a girl who takes her training pretty seriously. Sure, she's very lean, but so are the majority of female bodybuilders and fitness competitors in contest shape. Maybe I'm just missing something in your response?
CaseParticipantaccording to the powerlifting articles I have read on her. she is.
I know she set some powerlifting records in several weight classes as a teen, but she has never been anywhere near the "strongest woman in the world," to the best of my knowledge. Don't take me wrong, she has put up some mind boggling large numbers, but even those incredibly impressive lifts don't hold a candle to some of Jill Mills' or Becca Swanson's.
That being said, Ali is certainly prettier, isn't she?
CaseParticipantA long-time lurker emerges from the shadows. ;D 😉 I've been posting here since Christmas '07 – how long have you been here?
On the Cindy side – great to see her back, and, if that snapshot is anything to go by, her reduction in training may have done her complexion and looks the world of good. 8)
Truth be told, I registered here back in '05, and I've checked the site fairly regularly throughout all of that time. How sad is that? I feel like I know you, and all of the regulars for that matter, even though for whatever reason I've been silent all these years. Oh well, better late to the party than never arrived, eh?
Back on topic, I agree 100% with that assessment. She's looking like her old self again. Here's hoping that her road to Tampa is a great one!
CaseParticipantI'm sure that you guys have probably already noticed Cindy's latest update, but I thought I'd make mention of it here anyway. She seems more upbeat, and ready to make the most of the revitalised Tampa show. There's also a picture of the maybe-world-famous Cindy Phillips smile that seems to have been hiding recently…

edit: Is this really my first ever post? How many years have I had this account? Geeze!
