Dana Brooke is awesome. Her moveset still needs development but I think she’s going to be great because she’s not as clunky getting around the ring as other strength and fitness athletes were in the ring.

This cosplayer has no muscle but still better than Gal Gadot IMO

    That is an awesome WW!
Gal Gadot is a rather low bar to get over.
Sadly, I went to a comicon recently and there were fewer WW then there was Pikachus (who I previously thought was a male character). I think with this sub-standard casting (or rather strictly standard for Hollywood) has diminished the esteem local cosplayers have for the character.

The rumor going round is that Wonder Woman will be fighting Doomsday and she’ll cut his hand off.

Gee whiz! Why didn’t they just say he’s the villain? What are they thinking?

I’m going to guess because they wanted to do the whole Frank Miller thing with their adverts and having Doomsday overshadow it would have defeated the effort.
Or, they didn’t want to listen to a pile of fanboys telling them that the energy discharge was not among Doomsday’s powers and therefore the movie was so-getting-it-wrong.
Or, they thought it would have confused people who thought that the point of the movie (and the point of the advertisements thus far) was Batman vs Superman.
Or, some other reason. It’s not like they’re making a movie I want to see regardless. I’m still saving my money and skipping this one.

Shulkie hasn’t been as muscular as her cover that I’ve noticed since FF (Michael Allred’s art) or her solo series right after FF. Those were good times.

Also, while Captain America isn’t muscular 24/7 we don’t see her civilian identity much. And there’s always Valkyrie who was sporting some nice delts.

Well, look at Captain America in Secret Wars 2099.

I thought my sarcasm was implied.

Pardon me while I walk into this wall. Oof!

She supposedly got on shape for BvS, presumably lost that after the shoot, and now maybe, just maybe, she’ll hit the gym again.

Did you watch the same trailer I did?
    [spoiler]

Yeah, that’s her looking just as thin in the movie as everyone says she is. She’s had going on two years to “get in shape”. Why does everyone still cling to the story that she will “get in shape for the movie”? :pinch:

P.S. Shooting starts in fall for the solo movie. And anyone that still believes she will “get in shape” in the next 2-3 months for that one when she didn’t for this one in a year and a half can buy all my treacle mines for half-off the regular price.

Shooting for the new Wonder Woman movie is reported to start this autumn. Good luck to them because so far, I’m not impressed. This movie can once again ruin the future of solo superheroine films. Or it would become a worthy footnote in film history.

It is definitely a step backwards for Hollywood. It has been almost two years since they cast WW. If she hasn’t gotten into shape for the role by now I doubt any progress will be seen before this next autumn.

I get tired of this one the most perhaps; when people tell me “Well, everyone hated Heath Ledger’s Joker until they saw it.” But you know what? Everyone hated George Clooney’s Batman, even AFTER they saw it.
