She DID! And as a DC fan I was so jealous that their Wasp, a B lister, looks far more like an action hero then DC’s numero uno female.

I finally found Interzone on Youtube:

    https://www.youtube.com/user/pennyparker25/videos?shelf_id=1&sort=dd&view=0

It’s posted in parts, but it seems to be all there.

I started watching that and then remembered I seen it only last year on Netflix.

You guys are absolutely silly. Ready to blow off a movie because Wonder Woman isn’t built like Shelley Beattie. The trailer looks pretty good, an interesting DC movie finally. And I think Ms Gadot, despite the lack of muscle, looks damn sexy.

BTW, that picture of her at Comicon is no indicator of how she looks in the movie. It finished shooting several months ago. IIRC, when Hillary Swank was promoting “Million Dollar Baby”, al most all of the muscle she had put on for it had disappeared by then. Same goes for Tom Hardy when He promoted the Batman movie that he played Bane in.

She may lack muscle in the comicon picture but she lacked muscle as well in the trailer which I think is a very good indicator of what she will look like in the movie.
She didn’t have to get as big as Shelly or any other FBB. But she did have to get into some sort of shape.
And since I have screencaps with which to view of her from the trailer I think that is a pretty good indicator of how she will look … in the movie.
I think it’s absolutely silly to call upon Ben Affleck to get into shape to play Batman (and Henry to play Supes) but Gal gets a pass because she’s “hot”.
That the guy playing Lex Luthor shaved his head at all shows he got more into character then she did.
I think it’s silly that I should be expected to pay for a ticket to a movie when my favorite character was grossly miscast.

Days of Darkness (linked above) is a rather mediocre at best zombie flick. If it were not for one thing. Sabrina Gennarino plays one of the survivors fighting against the ‘zombie apocolypse’ and is quite buff.

Not an FBB but certainly buffer then usual for an actress.

I think it’s also worth saying that not every woman can naturally build muscle well (even some men struggle to build muscle), and I can believe pretty readily that Gal Gadot’s body type isn’t naturally muscular.

That is why she should have been cast as Huntress or something. WW is THE female super hero and should have been cast with that aspect in mind. It was a big mistake and one that another studio, maybe Marvel, can capitalize on by simply casting better for Ms Marvel and then next you know WW is a relic of the past. Which given the characters handling recently is as it should be.

P.S. I did read the three actresses the studio had trying for the role. They were and very gamine. It’s not like they tried a variety of people and Gal came out as this brilliant shining actress from the sky. They had a very specific image in mind and cast actresses that fit that.

Elodie Yung, and Olga Kurylenko were the other two casting choices the studio considered.

Elodie Yung was cast as Elektra for the Daredevil Netflix series. She might be able to bulk up, but neither her role nor her studio would need her to.

[quote=”SammiChung” post=122732]WW isn’t great in the scenes she’s shone but then again Gal Gadot ‘promised’ us she was getting fit for the role I bet the directors digitally edited anything that looked remotely ‘muscled’ from her because they’re stupid. I hope she’s not in the last 10 minutes of the film because that would be just a slap in the face. To everyone.

here she is at yesterdays comic con panel. i’m afraid not an ounce of muscle.

Did you seriously believe the Hollywood Spin Machine?

As expected. Could be worse though, they could had cast Taylor Swift.

At least Taylor Swift makes news for being nice to people. I mean if you’re going to miscast someone at least do it for a good person.
