Everyone's got their preferences and I realize that an image like this might not get as many comments as some of my other stuff, but I'm okay with that. I just go where the pencil takes me, and each piece knows when it's done, with or without my approval. Still, I consider this piece among the greatest works I've ever done.

Sometimes when we change our direction, it causes us to fade into the background. This might be the case with me, but I'd rather go with art that I like to do instead of pushing myself in directions that I'm not happy with. I mean, after all, I think that's why I started doing FBB art to begin with. What I should probably try and do is find a more specialized board to post this sort of work to in addition to here.

Hey fellow fantastic artists out there, I'd like to request a picture of Gwen (From Ben 10 Cartoon Networks new series) all buff and ready for action.

The premise of the cartoon is that Ben and Gwen are cousins travelling with their Grandpa Max in his RV. One night at a  camp a meteor falls to earth, Ben finds it and from that meteor spings a device that attaches to his wrist. Seems he cannot remove it but if he pushes it in a certain way he becomes 1 of 10 aliens (More now series went to second and third seasons). Its cool you can check out Cartoon network about it or just wikipedia it.

So below is a picture of Gwen and her cousin Ben

In the pic might be cool to see her with the device on, which they did for one episode.

The time you put into it definitely shows, it's looks fantastic. Personally I think it would look better with some soft highlights to complement the shading, but maybe it doesn't fit in with your stlye.

Thanks for the compliments, as i said before it did take a long time for me to do. The reason is that i'm new to PS, haven't really had a lot of time to work with it. Also as you pointed out there is an art to colouring, with highlights i'm sure it would definately be better but my skill in that area still has to be developed. Under the right persons eye and talent Chris's work flys off the page with fantastic colours. I only hope that someday i'm as good as the folks are around here.

Again thanks a bunch for the compliments it really helps to motivate me to try harder on honing my colouring skills.

in any case i'm not a photoshop expert: 90% of the commands are unknow for me…simply i chose the colour and use the brush… 😛 ^^''
